These portraits are rooted in my current ideas, they are part of a larger idea of this "sacred altar"- being our pure human experience, revealing the extraordinary within the ordinary. Through dreamlike states of gestures of power, the feminine, queer identity's, an all levels of complexity -emerges as divine. These works invite us to remember our wholeness and to bring life back into balance.
Altars of Wholeness
This series reimagines the ordinary human experience as a sacred altar—each moment a portal into our own divine completeness. The portraits explore women in dreamlike states and postures of power, embodying the resilience, tenderness, and unapologetic presence of the feminine. Threaded through are subtle reflections of queer identity and the lesbian experience, affirming that the Divine Feminine—so often muted in our world—must be reclaimed and brought back into balance. Altars of Wholeness is both intimate and expansive: a reminder that we lack nothing within ourselves to create the extraordinary out of the everyday, and that balance itself is a sacred act of becoming whole.
